Listing a shipment with uShip is fast, easy and free. Just follow these easy steps and then get started with your first uShip listing.

  1. Start at rbauction.com/shipping

Click the Get Quotes button at rbauction.com/shipping (or just click Buy, then Online Shipping Service). You will be redirected to the secure uShip site. You might want to bookmark this page or add it to your favorites.

You will also find the Get Quote button on certain items in current inventory and auction results.

  2. Sign in or sign up on the secure uShip site

Before entering any shipment information, returning users sign in to their uShip account; new users will be asked to enter a valid email address. uShip will use this address to send you important information about your account and shipments.

  3. Import lot information from rbauction.com

If you know the lot number and auction date for the item you want to ship, enter it now. If you want to ship multiple items from one auction, enter each lot number separated by commas. Click Import Lot Information to import the item descriptions, specifications and photos from rbauction.com.

  4. Provide more details for accurate quotes

The more information you provide, the easier it is for trucking companies to deliver accurate quotes. Add any extra information about your shipment now, including specifications and photos.

Tip: check RitchieSpecs.com for detailed specifications for thousands of different machines.

  5. Enter pickup or delivery details

If you purchased the item at a Ritchie Bros. auction, pickup information (i.e. the auction site) is imported directly from rbauction.com. If not, enter the pickup and delivery details, and specify the delivery location (e.g. construction site, port).

Decide how long you want your shipment listed on the uShip site and open to quotes. The longer you leave it, the more quotes you'll receive.

  6. New users: create your uShip account

Enter your contact information and create a unique username. This information will be kept private from transportation companies and other uShip members, so you won't receive any unwanted phone calls. If you decide to accept a quote, you contact the transporter directly.

  7. Review your quotes

Registered uShip transportation providers can start providing quotes as soon as you've listed your shipment. Simply return to uShip.com and sign in to your account to review your quotes.

  8. Read feedback about each carrier

Price is only one reason for choosing a service provider. To help you make an informed decision, every uShip service provider is rated by other customers. You can see how many shipments they've completed and read honest feedback about every company that bids on your business.

  9. Finalize your transaction and rate your carrier

If you decide to accept a bid, contact the transportation company and finalize your transaction. When your equipment arrives, pay the provider directly. You don't pay any fees to uShip for this service. Remember: you are under no obligation to accept any of the quotes you receive.

After your shipment has been completed, rate your carrier. Your feedback is important.
