Registration Registration to bid is free of charge, whether you are bidding in person, online or by proxy. You may be required to pay a refundable bid deposit. Bid Deposits - Domestic bidders: In most cases, you don't have to place a deposit if you are bidding in person.
- Foreign bidders: Unless you have made prior arrangements with Ritchie Bros., you must place a refundable deposit equaling 25% of the total expected purchases or US$25,000, whichever is higher.
- Online bidders: Depending on your bidding history, you may be required to place a refundable 25% bid deposit when you register to bid.

- Each purchased Lot will be subject to a transaction fee of: (a) 15% on all Lots selling for USD 5,000 or less, with a minimum fee of USD 100 per Lot, (b) 10% on all Lots selling for over USD 5,000 up to USD 12,000, with a minimum fee of USD 750 per lot, (c) 4.85% on all Lots selling for over USD 12,000 up to USD 75,000, with a minimum fee of USD 1,200 per Lot or, (d) USD 3,638 on all Lots selling for over USD 75,000.
- Lots must be paid in full within seven (7) days of the end of the auction. If Ritchie Bros. does not receive full payment within seven (7) days of the end of the auction, interest on overdue amounts will be paid by Purchaser at a rate of 18% per annum or at such other maximum rate as allowed by law, together with any legal or collection costs incurred by Auctioneers.
- NOTE: Purchases cannot be removed from the auction site or collected until paid for in full. If paid for with non-certified funds, items will not be released until non-certified funds clear our bank. This policy will be strictly enforced.
