Ritchie Bros. to conduct its largest-ever Columbus, OH auction on September 28-29

Unreserved auction features equipment from two of the longest-running contractors in the U.S.

COLUMBUS, OH (September 13, 2016) – After 85+ years in business, and three generations of the Oliver family, Oliver Pipe & Equipment Inc. has decided to call it quits. At the same time, Sheehan Pipeline, in business for 100+ years, will also be selling its entire fleet. Equipment from two of the longest running contractors in the United States will be selling at Ritchie Bros.' Columbus, OH auction on September 28 – 29, 2016.

This historic auction already features 175+ pipelayers—the most Ritchie Bros. has ever sold in a single auction—as well as 100+ dozers, 100 excavators, 150+ truck tractors, and more. The auction is open to the public and every item will be sold without minimum bids or reserve prices.

"I never thought I'd live long enough to see a sale like this," said David Oliver, owner of Oliver Pipeline & Equipment Inc. "I've been blessed to be a part of this industry, but I'm ready to retire and move on to the next chapter of my life. Over the years we have been meticulous with our equipment—maintaining and replacing it as needed. This auction is a great opportunity for somebody who needs to purchase equipment. Whether they need it now or in the next year or two, this is the sale to buy."
